The Drip Newsletter
The Drip is a newsletter on that explores the sweet, gooey intersection of hip hop and art history. In 2022, I received one of three Joel Gay Creative Fellowships, founded by New York Times bestselling author Dr. Roxane Gay and Substack. Through this fellowship, I received mentorship from Dr. Gay and editorial support from Dr. Meg Pillow.
From April 2022-April 2023, I wrote weekly essays that explored different themes across art forms, including alter egos, typography, and the color pink. The Drip was named a Substack Featured Publication in 2022 and was featured on Substack’s “What to Read” newsletter. It currently has a readership of 5,300 subscribers and followers.
